Commercial Energy Performance Certificates
From 4th January 2009 nearly all commercial properties need to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) prior to marketing. This should be available free of charge to a prospective tenant or purchaser. It is the responsibility of the vendor or landlord to ensure an EPC has been obtained and there can be stiff penalties for neglecting to provide an EPC.
